Prior to the welcome dinner, heads of state were invited by Ir. H. For business or leisure travellers, AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach offers a luxurious home away from home with its 13 Full Ocean View Suites, and 192 Deluxe Full Ocean View Rooms and Full Ocean View Rooms, each elegantly appointed and inspired by Flores Island's rich cultural heritage and biodiversity. The 1.4 hectare resort features a pioneering design that immerses guests in the lush natural surroundings. The large windows in every room guarantee breathtaking ocean views, especially at sunset when the sky shimmers with golden hues above Kukusan Island. The resort’s unique design allows guests to check-in from the lobby on the 11th floor, providing a grand welcome with 180-degree views of the Flores Sea.
AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach's impressive 250-meter long private jetty provides the ultimate launchpad for guests to explore the island and its surroundings. The star of the resort's fleet of vessels is the AYANA Lako di'a, a 54-meter luxury phinisi. As one of the largest vessels in Western Flores, it provides prestigious, ultra-modern suite accommodation for up to 18 guests in nine fully air-conditioned cabins, each with queen beds and ensuite bathrooms. Lako di'a also features a library, lounge, bar, an indoor dining area seating up to 20 guests, and daybeds on the main deck. The magnificent vessel is an inspired blend of South Sulawesi and Dutch aesthetics combined with modern Japanese elegance.
Meaning “safe travel” in the local Manggarai language, Lako di'a boasts nine of AYANA's signature luxury bedrooms. Guests can relax in the phinisi’s lounges and on the dive decks, and also experience aquatic activities such as diving and snorkelling in one of the world’s richest areas of marine biodiversity. Its three luxury decks for hosting events, height of 39 metres and total space of 1,100 square metres makes Lako di'a the largest phinisi in the region. Building a wooden vessel such as this is a unique undertaking, and raises the bar for all phinisi in terms of quality and safety.
“As an Indonesian luxury hotel brand, we are honoured to have hosted the leaders of the Southeast Asian nations at AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach, as well as on our phinisi AYANA Lako di’a during this important international event. AYANA Komodo Resort Waecicu Beach boasts spectacular panoramic ocean views from its lobby, which is often referred to as The Windows of Indonesia, making it the perfect place to welcome the leaders of Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, Komodo's natural beauty is best explored by sea, while cruising aboard one of AYANA's exclusive water vessels. This was an unforgettable opportunity that we at AYANA will cherish forever,” said Mr. I Gusti Agung Manik Sudarsana, Hotel Manager of AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach.
